SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
80% of billed energy in most industrial facilities is consumed by roughly 20% of its electrical loads. The main focus of attention are those big energy spenders. Large motors 20HP and up.
Chillers, compressors, water pumps, cooling tower fans, air handlers, etc.
A thorough power quality inspection under normal operating conditions shall be conducted to each one of those motors, to assess the required amount of reactive power compensation needed, to achieve an optimal power factor level, and also to determine if harmonic currents are present within the circuit, at the location where the capacitor will be installed, in cases where the motor is VFD driven. Attention shall be given to the distance in feet, from the motor to its power source, as there will be energy saved in electrical transmission heat.
Base on those measurements we are able to create a load by load Project Scope Report. The report will help you make informed decisions as to what motors to treat based on your goals, treatment cost and saving returns. It will also provide a projected financial overview based on conservative typical results as well as an environmental impact projection of your initiative.
